Writer's Block: Historian's Choice

[Error: unknown template qotd]I couldn't resist this one, history buff that I am...I would live during my favorite era of history, the 16th century, the era of The Tudors, the Spanish Hapsbugs, the Valois....but above all the Tudors--you already know about my obsession there! ;)  I would love to see all of my favorite historical figures in the flesh, and see firsthand what their life was like, maybe wear one of those fabulous gowns.  But only temporarily mind you--I couldn't stand the sanitary, social, and political conditions for long....

I agree. the gowns from that era are beautiful! i love the Tudors TV show as well:)

Nice. :) What did you think of this last season, if you've seen it? I was rather disappointed by it, though I suppose season 2 is an impossible act to follow....

I agree. Even though I loved Joss Stone as Anne. Her gowns were beautiful and we did get to see more of Mary this season. It seemed liked this season was a bit rushed don't you think?

Yes, the great increase in Mary!time is definitely the main thing this season has in its favor IMO, since she is my fave, and often neglected and ignored in this kinds of things, so I was very happy to see her having an expanded role, though I wish she were in the opening credits, it was ridiculous that she wasn't IMO given how much she was in it!

I haven't even seen Joss Stone yet, I haven't felt motivated enough yet to watch the last two episodes--which is part of the problem, since I could hardly wait between epps while watching season 2!

It seemed rushed, and yet not rushed at the same time--I don't quite agree on how they apportioned the time....
